Can you believe that 1997 was 23 years ago?! The latter half of the nineties feels like it was just yesterday, but times have certainly changed.
One of the big interior decorating trends that’s evolved over the years is the prevalence of wallpaper in homes. In the nineties (and before), many homes had some interesting wallpaper choices, and many people are now removing that paper to redecorate their homes.
Such was the case for London woman Charlotte Morrison. Morrison decided to pull off the wallpaper in her home, but what she didn’t expect was a message from the person who’d put the paper up in the first place.
“If you ever need to wallpaper this room again, it will take eight rolls of wallpaper. I bought just six rolls at £17 [about $21 USD] per roll. I didn’t have enough (it really pissed me off). Jon 21/12/1997”
While “Jon” isn’t a big fan of social media, Charlotte did get in contact with one of Jon’s family members after the picture went viral, and they informed Jon of how far his message had spread.
Charlotte had originally been planning on painting the room, but now she’s thinking about papering it to see if Jon’s measurements still check out!
