We want to spoil our pets, so it’s no wonder that so many of us come home from a trip to buy pet food with a few chewable toys and treats in our shopping bags as well. And if we bring our dogs to the pet store with us and watch them sniffing down the aisles and making their treat and toy wants very obvious, it gets even harder to say no!

While those dog toys and treats may be appealing to your pet, though, they may also be a health risk.

Dr. Hunter Finn, a veterinarian, is now sharing informative videos on TikTok about what is and isn’t safe to buy for your pets, and his videos have racked up millions of views on the app. In the clips, Dr. Finn goes through a pet store and identifies treats and toys that are highly popular among pet owners, but can actually result in serious medical emergencies or long-term health damage if you give them to your pet.

Check out some of Dr. Finn’s advice below so you can keep your dogs safe and healthy!
