Though we hang them on our refrigerators with pride, even the most supportive parents can acknowledge that our children’s works of art don’t always bear perfect resemblance to their subjects. We’ve all seen cats and dogs with stick legs and cars that seemed to float above wheels. But have you ever thought about what those childlike proportions would look like in the “real world”?
One father did, and now, he’s amassed a number of fans who follow his collaborative art projects with his kids (and other kids, too!). Tom Curtis of London, who goes by @thingsihavedrawn on Instagram, takes the drawings of his his sons, Al and Dom and digitally edits them to look, erm, more real. The finished products are a work of art in their own right, and while a lot of them are nightmare fuel, they’re also a testament to a parent’s love for his kids’ creations.
