Ballpoint pens are mostly used for taking notes and doodling on the side of the paper when you should be taking notes. That’s not what Oscar Ukonu uses them for, though.
Oscar is a Nigerian-born artist who has truly maximized the potential of the ballpoint pen, using it to create portraits so realistic, they could easily be mistaken for photographs. Though you’d be forgiven for thinking that Oscar was just pretending to use simple pens to draw such masterpieces, though, make no mistake: his skill is real, and it’s been honed over the years with an impressive combination of talent and dedication.
