After months of waiting, JolyAnn Torres finally reunited with her dogs, Lola and Red.

The two pups were left with JolyAnn’s grandmother in Puerto Rico. JolyAnn was one of the many people who had to evacuate Puerto Rico during Hurricane Maria, which destroyed much of the island and left its people without electricity.

“It’s a really happy day for both the animals and their families, and of course everyone here at the Human Society,” a Human Society employee said.

“We have been through so much and now that I have my dogs back, I can be me again,” Torres said.
