Whether you think of it as a “Hallmark holiday” or a beautiful celebration of love, Valentine’s Day is a difficult day to be separated from your significant other when everyone else seems to be going on and on about how in-love they are.
Swans may not have social media or boxes of chocolates to give each other, but they understand what it means to have a deep connection with their partner. Unfortunately for one pair of swans, they had to be separated after one of them needed some special care.
The swans, Bonnie and Clyde, are about twenty years old and live at Wychwood Park in the UK. The pair are very attached to each other, so it was tough for both of them when Bonnie had to be taken in by the RSPCA Stapeley Grange to receive treatment for an ailment. Once Bonnie was all healed up, though, she was taken back to the park and had the sweetest of reunions with Clyde on Valentine’s Day.

Though it had been some time since Bonnie and Clyde had seen each other, they recognized each other instantly and shared a special moment before returning to the lake. The video of their reunion has warmed hearts all over the world and reminded people of how special it is to be back in the arms (or feathers?) of the one you love most.
You can watch their happy reunion below:
