The coronavirus pandemic has many of us a bit on-edge around other people, and while we may be more appreciative of our loved ones during this time, some of us are being a bit harsh and judgmental toward strangers.
One single mother has finally had enough of other people’s judgment. MaryAnn Fausey Resendez has noticed people calling out parents for “needlessly” taking their children to the grocery store, which could potentially help spread the virus. But some parents have no choice — they either take their young children with them, or leave them at home alone, and obviously, no responsible parent would ever leave their kids at home if they were too young for it.
When MaryAnn went to the grocery store with her daughter, she came prepared. She affixed a note to her daughter’s back that sent a clear message to any potential nosy people: mind your own business!
The photo has spread across Facebook, with many other parents (and non-parents) connecting with MaryAnn’s message.
MaryAnn also shared her extensive preparation list for going shopping. There’s no doubt that this mama is doing everything in her power to keep herself, her child, and everyone else safe as the virus continues to spread.
What do you think of this mother’s message? Too harsh, or just what people need to read?
