The Kansas City Chiefs are your 2020 Superbowl winners! And what better way to celebrate than by helping a bunch of shelter pups find homes?
Well, that’s what Kansas City Chiefs player Derrick Nnadi thought, anyway. Nnadi, a defensive tackle for the team, has taken it upon himself to pay for the adoption fees for every dog that was in the shelter on or before February 2, a.k.a. Superbowl Sunday. The shelter, KC Pet Projects, has shared a partnership with Nnadi, and they expressed their excitement over his generosity.
“KC WINS! We are so excited to announce that the Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi is choosing to celebrate the Super Bowl win by paying for the adoptions of all the adoptable dogs currently at KC Pet Project!
We have had an amazing, season-long, partnership with Derrick and he couldn’t have thought of a better ending.
This partnership has been sponsored by the Derrick Nnadi Foundation. To learn more and to donate today, visit www.dnnadifoundation.org
With so many animals living in shelters and hoping for the perfect home, Nnadi’s gesture will hopefully go a long way to ensuring that these doggies find their forever humans soon!
