Many brands have been releasing creative ads or PSAs to encourage customers to stay safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, IKEA Israel has come up with a brilliant way to tell people to self-isolate during the outbreak.
The Swedish furniture and homewares company is famous for its minimalistic, visually focused instructions that come with its furniture. So for their PSA, they chose to make their message just like their furniture instructions: simple. They created an actual “instruction page” for how to stay at home, and it’s delightfully clever.
It’s everything you love about normal IKEA instructions, but with a tongue-in-cheek twist. Tools needed? One lock, one key, and 100 rolls of toilet paper. Instructions? If your door is closed, you’re doing it right, and if it’s open, you’re doing it wrong. The caption on the image appropriately read, “It’s not complex — stay at home.”
What a clever way to deliver such an important message!
