Many people, in their efforts to reduce their chances of contracting the coronavirus, have started wearing gloves out in public to places like the grocery store. The logic seems sound on the surface — surely touching objects that other people have also touched is a bit safer when there’s a protective layer between you and the outside world. But one former ER nurse is sharing how wearing gloves is probably not the effective safety measure you may think it is.
Molly Lixey has shared a helpful educational video on Facebook after going to the grocery store and seeing so many people shopping while wearing gloves. Molly is all too familiar with the dangers of cross-contamination thanks to her job history, and in her video, she makes her point clear: gloves are virtually useless if you don’t use them properly. Check out the video below, and make sure to SHARE it with your friends if you think Molly brings up a great point!
