Technology has advanced so rapidly that having a pocket-sized computer on us at all times is considered the norm. In a world were we’re all expected to be available and online at all times, it’s no surprise that so many of us are constantly replying to messages, checking notifications, or simply distracted by our phones.
Now, one daycare center is calling out parents for being on their phones as they pick up their kids from the center. A woman named Juliana Mazurkewicz shared a photo of the note on Facebook, and it soon went viral.

The impassioned message has sparked a lot of contrasting reactions. Some people are in complete agreement, proclaiming that technology has been prioritized over what really matters in life, like our own kids. Others, though, are calling out the daycare for “parent-shaming,” feeling like busy moms and dads who are trying to juggle a million things at once (some of which, yes, require the use of a phone) are being scolded for not being “perfect” for their children.
What do you think? Does this note hit the nail on the head, or is it a judgmental way to put busy parents down? Let us know in the comments!
