Little kids have big imaginations, and they often use them to create fantastical artwork of never-before-seen creatures.

One French animation creator living in Tokyo is so proud of his sons’ artwork, he uses it as inspiration to create his own anime versions of the creatures and worlds his children bring to life on paper. Thomas Romain has made a name for himself both for his work in his career and his “fan art” of his sons’ drawings. It’s easy to see why — he strikes the perfect balance between capturing the magic and fun behind the original artwork while adding his own talented spin. We’d love to see what he could do with our refrigerator artwork!

Best of all, this dad is clearly fostering a love of art and creativity in his sons. As time has gone on, you can see how their own artwork has developed and improved! The boys are a few years older than they were when the family first began these collaborations, and it’s clear which artwork is from their younger days and which is more recent.
