If you were born in the ’90s or had kids growing up in the ’90s, you probably know who Bill Nye the Science Guy is. Bill was the TV host who got countless kids interested in science through cool experiments and demonstrations, complete with fun props and wacky sound effects.

Bill Nye is caught up with the times and can now be found on TikTok, and don’t worry — he’s still sharing important and interesting scientific facts with his audience.

Bill has previously gone viral on the popular app for explaining how masks work, which was all the way back in July. Apparently, though, lots of people still haven’t gotten the message, as people around the United States are refusing to wear masks despite all the science backing them as an effective way to reduce COVID transmission.

The Science Guy has taken matters into his own hands, explaining how masks work (and debunking some anti-masker excuses) in another viral TikTok. Better yet, this TikTok is wonderfully reminiscent of the old Bill Nye the Science Guy TV show, with simple, easy-to-understand examples and all the fun sound-effects!

I don’t know who needs to hear this but… #masks work. Wear one. Carry on… #tiktokpartner #learnontiktok
