It’s hard to remember a time when we weren’t constantly using apps on our phones and tablets. Remember the days we had to physically go to a brick-and-mortar store to rent movies, or the times when we had to search for jobs in the classified ads of physical newspapers?

28-year-old artist Luli Kibudi has combined the old with the new in her series called “Once Appon a Time.” In this project, Luli takes “old-fashioned” designs that now fit into the tiny computers in our pockets and reimagines them with an aesthetic that’s now familiar to everyone with a smartphone.
