COVID-19 has changed and shaped our lives in a variety of ways — some tragic and permanent, others slightly inconvenient and just a bit strange. In just a few months, many of us will have been experiencing lockdowns, mask mandates, and other aspects of “COVID life” for a whole year, and it can be strange to remember what life was like before this was our “new normal.”
One artist named Irina Blok, who hails from San Francisco, has reminded us of all the ways that COVID-19 has changed our world through simple, but effective comics. From Zoom meetings to Amazon packages, there’s no doubt that we’re reliant on different systems than we were before this whole thing started! Some of her art is a little silly and may give you a chuckle while at the same time reminding us of just how different our lives are from the way they were a year ago.
